• Colour and clarity carry slightly less weight in pendants than in rings as the viewing distance is greater.

Chain length changes how the piece sits and what it pairs with.

• 16“: Choker length, sits at the base of the neck. Suits open necklines and shows the pendant high on the collarbone.
• 18”: The most common length for diamond pendants. Sits just below the collarbone and works under most necklines.
• 20”: A longer drop, sitting on the upper chest. Suits crew necks and layered looks.
• 22-24”: Matinee length, sitting over the bust line. Usually paired with statement pendants.

For layered looks, a 2” gap between each chain length keeps the pieces visually distinct.

The metal sets the temperature of the piece:

• White gold reads cool and contemporary. It’s plated with rhodium and heavily-worn pieces will require replating every few years.
• Yellow gold reads warm and traditional. It holds its colour without the need for replating and has returned to strong fashion in recent years.
• Rose gold reads soft and modern. It suits warmer skin tones and pairs naturally with pink and red stones.
• Platinum reads white, dense and durable. It’s heavier than gold and priced higher per gram, but holds its colour permanently. The preferred choice for clients who want an heirloom piece they won't have to maintain.

The neckline shapes the styling decision more than most clients expect.

• V-neck and Scoop Necklines: Longer pendants suit the line, typically 18-20”.
• Crew Neck and High collars: Shorter chains sit better on the fabric, around 16-18”.
• Strapless and Off-shoulder: Choker lengths between 14-16” frame the collarbone.
• Layered tops: Shorter chains are recommended to avoid disappearing under the layers.

While lab-grown diamonds and natural diamonds are chemically identical, they are not the same product. Natural diamonds form under geological conditions over billions of years, while lab-grown diamonds are produced in a controlled environment over weeks or months.

Diamond necklaces are easier to maintain than rings. The chain doesn't take direct contact with surfaces, and the pendant is rarely caught on objects.

Standard care is straightforward:

• Store separately in a soft pouch or a compartmented box. 
• Clean with warm water and a mild detergent every few weeks. 
• Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray and lotions, which can dull the metal over time. 
• Bring the piece in once a year for professional cleaning, complimentary at our Orchard Central office.

Price is driven by the diamond's cut, colour, clarity, carat and whether the design is from our standing collection or commissioned. Most first-time clients sit between $3,000 and $15,000 SGD.

A diamond pendant is the ornament that hangs from a chain. A diamond necklace is the full piece, chain included. In practice, the terms are often used interchangeably: a ‘diamond pendant necklace’ is simply a pendant sold as a complete piece with its chain.

The most popular style we sell is a solitaire diamond pendant on an 18” chain. It works for everyday wear, layers cleanly with other necklaces, and remains the most versatile design across age and occasion. Halo pendants and station necklaces follow for clients seeking more presence on the collarbone.

The default for most adults is 18”, sitting just below the collarbone. Choose 16” for a higher line on an open neckline, 20” for a longer drop on crew or scoop necks, and 22-24” for layered or statement looks.

Diamonds at or above 0.30 carat are typically certified by GIA or IGI, and we provide the report with the piece. Below the 0.30 carat threshold, GIA does not generally issue reports. For these pieces, we are able to arrange Singapore-based Gemologist certification on request. The fee, usually between $120 to $140, will be borne by the client.

Yes. Bespoke pendant design is a service we offer alongside our standing collection. The process starts with a brief covering the occasion, the recipient's style and the budget. Yes. We offer interest-free payment plans on most pieces. The structure is a non-refundable deposit of 30% to 50% of the piece value, with the balance settled within eight weeks. No fees, no interest, paid by bank wire.

Returns are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We recommend a private viewing or video call before any high-value online purchase, so the piece is seen before it's shipped. International shipments are packaged and insured, and we work with each client through any concerns on receipt.
