Necklaces & Pendants

A diamond necklace is worn more often than almost any other piece of fine jewellery. It sits near the face, catches light at conversation distance, and outlives the occasion it was bought for. Choosing the right one matters.

Lovelotsdiamond: Who We Are

Singapore's Trusted Diamond Necklace & Pendant Specialist

Buying a diamond necklace is a long-term investment. The questions worth asking are about provenance, certification, craftsmanship and aftercare.

GIA & IGI-Certified Diamonds

Lovelotsdiamond works with GIA and IGI certification on every diamond that qualifies. GIA generally certifies stones from 0.30 carat and above, and we provide the report with the piece. For diamonds below that threshold, we can arrange certification through a reputable Singapore-based Gemologist on request. The fee, typically $120 to $140 SGD, is borne by the client.

Bespoke Designs Crafted in Singapore

Every bespoke piece begins with a conversation. Some clients arrive with a clear vision, sketched out and ready. Others arrive with a budget, a few reference images and a sense that the right piece hasn't been made yet. Both are useful starting points.

From there, we work together on stone, setting, metal, chain length and finish, designed and crafted to order in Singapore.

Bespoke Pendant Designs

A bespoke pendant is one we build to your brief. Whether it’s a milestone gift, an heirloom or a self-purchase, we can customise the stone, setting, chain and finish to your preferences. We share supplier images, a quote and a clear timeline before any deposit is placed.

Lifetime Cleaning & Warranty

Every Lovelotsdiamond piece comes with complimentary lifetime cleaning and polishing at our Orchard Central office. Manufacturing defects are covered under warranty for the lifetime of the piece. Routine wear, accidental damage and modifications are quoted separately. We recommend a check and clean once a year for daily-wear pieces.

Showroom at Orchard Central

We see clients by appointment at #04-02, 181 Orchard Road. Most appointments run 30 to 60 minutes, and you're welcome to take the time you need.

Simple to Statement: Find Your Diamond Necklace Style

A diamond necklace can sit quietly under a collar or carry the look of an evening on its own. Most clients land on one of three ranges.

Simple Diamond Necklaces for Everyday Wear

Picture a solitaire pendant on a thin gold chain, a small cluster on a fine link or a station necklace with diamonds set at intervals along the chain. Simple diamond necklaces sit well under workwear, layer cleanly with other pieces, and  catch the light just enough to remind you they're there.

We carry a curated range of minimalist diamond necklaces and minimalist diamond pendants suited to everyday wear in Singapore. Many fall under $5,000 SGD, making them a popular entry point for first-time fine jewellery buyers.

Statement & Luxury Diamond Necklaces for Women

Statement pieces are made to be seen: think larger centre stones, halo settings, multi-row designs, articulated chains that move against the collarbone. These are the necklaces clients commission for the day they walk down the aisle, the dinner where a milestone is marked and the heirloom that will become a legacy for future generations.

Pricing on luxury diamond necklaces varies widely with stone quality and metal choice. We're happy to talk through the options before you commit, in person at the showroom or over a video call.

Diamond Necklace vs Diamond Pendant: What's The Difference?

A diamond pendant is the ornamental piece that hangs from a chain. A diamond necklace is the full piece, chain included, and the term often refers to designs where the diamonds run along the chain itself rather than hanging from it.

In practice, the two terms are used interchangeably. A ‘diamond pendant necklace’ is a pendant on a chain, sold as a complete piece. When clients ask us for a diamond necklace, we usually clarify whether they mean a pendant style or a chain-set style, because the budget, chain length and styling considerations differ.

Diamond Necklaces By Occasion

The reason behind the piece often shapes the piece itself. Here's how we typically work with each occasion.

Bridal & Wedding Necklaces

The bridal necklace is the piece that ends up in the photos. It's worn against the dress, touched in the mirror in the final minutes before the ceremony, and returned to anniversary after anniversary.

Most clients arrive with a wedding date, a dress photo and a budget. From there, we work backwards through neckline, chain length, stone size and metal. For tea ceremonies and dinner receptions, we often see clients invest in two pieces of differing weights: a statement piece for the evening and a lighter design for the day that follows.

Anniversary Necklaces

An anniversary piece marks shared time. From five years to twenty-five, the recipient often wears it alongside a wedding band or engagement ring, and the layering builds quietly into a record of a life lived together.

An anniversary diamond necklace in Singapore is the gift to celebrate a life lived together and mark many more years to come. Many clients work to a specific budget, and a diamond necklace under $5,000 SGD is a common starting point for milestone anniversaries.

Birthday Gifts for Her

A birthday gift often becomes the piece worn through the decade that follows. A solitaire on a fine chain, put on in the morning without thinking. A pendant that sits at the collarbone through meetings, dinners and photos.

A diamond pendant gift for her in Singapore is one of the most flexible categories we work with. The piece can be sized to the budget without losing its presence. A solitaire with a well-cut centre stone, even at modest carat weight, often outperforms a larger but poorly cut alternative.

Mother's Day Diamond Pendants

A Mother's Day diamond pendant works for the same reason a daily-wear necklace does: it gets worn. We see clients return year after year for layering pieces that build into a collection, from birthstones for grandchildren to small accent stones for marking special occasions.

Push Present Necklaces

A push present diamond necklace is a quietly meaningful category. It's often the first piece of jewellery the new mother wears in the weeks afterwards, kept on through feeds, photographs, and the long quiet hours that come with a newborn.

Most clients choose a fine solitaire or a small cluster on an 18” chain, with secure settings and a comfortable weight. Bespoke commissions are commonly built around the baby's birthstone or initial. Whichever direction the piece takes, we suggest starting the conversation a few weeks before the due date so there's no rush at the end.

A Guide to Buying a Diamond Necklace in Singapore

If this is your first diamond necklace purchase, the considerations below are the ones we would raise with you in person, to make sure you fully understand your purchase.

Understanding the 4Cs for Diamond Necklaces

Cut, colour, clarity and carat are the four metrics that govern diamond grading. For necklaces and pendants, the priority order shifts slightly from rings.

  • Cut still matters most: a well-cut diamond returns light and looks alive on the chain.
  • Carat sits second, because pendant size affects whether a piece reads as a statement or as a layering piece.
  • Colour and clarity carry slightly less weight in pendants than in rings as the viewing distance is greater.

Choosing a Chain Length: 16", 18", 20" or Longer

Chain length changes how the piece sits and what it pairs with.

  • 16“: Choker length, sits at the base of the neck. Suits open necklines and shows the pendant high on the collarbone.
  • 18”: The most common length for diamond pendants. Sits just below the collarbone and works under most necklines.
  • 20”: A longer drop, sitting on the upper chest. Suits crew necks and layered looks.
  • 22-24”: Matinee length, sitting over the bust line. Usually paired with statement pendants.

For layered looks, a 2” gap between each chain length keeps the pieces visually distinct.

White Gold vs Yellow Gold vs Rose Gold vs Platinum

The metal sets the temperature of the piece:

  • White gold reads cool and contemporary. It’s plated with rhodium and heavily-worn pieces will require replating every few years.
  • Yellow gold reads warm and traditional. It holds its colour without the need for replating and has returned to strong fashion in recent years.
  • Rose gold reads soft and modern. It suits warmer skin tones and pairs naturally with pink and red stones.
  • Platinum reads white, dense and durable. It’s heavier than gold and priced higher per gram, but holds its colour permanently. The preferred choice for clients who want an heirloom piece they won't have to maintain.

How to Choose a Diamond Pendant for Your Neckline

The neckline shapes the styling decision more than most clients expect.

  • V-neck and Scoop Necklines: Longer pendants suit the line, typically 18-20”.
  • Crew Neck and High collars: Shorter chains sit better on the fabric, around 16-18”.
  • Strapless and Off-shoulder: Choker lengths between 14-16” frame the collarbone.
  • Layered tops: Shorter chains are recommended to avoid disappearing under the layers.

Lab-Grown vs Natural Diamonds in Necklaces

While lab-grown diamonds and natural diamonds are chemically identical, they are not the same product. Natural diamonds form under geological conditions over billions of years, while lab-grown diamonds are produced in a controlled environment over weeks or months.

At Lovelotsdiamond, we always identify pieces that contain lab-grown stones on the product page. The two categories trade and hold value differently, and we believe that a buyer is entitled to know which they're buying.

Caring for Your Diamond Necklace

Diamond necklaces are easier to maintain than rings. The chain doesn't take direct contact with surfaces, and the pendant is rarely caught on objects.

Standard care is straightforward:

  • Store separately in a soft pouch or a compartmented box.
  • Clean with warm water and a mild detergent every few weeks.
  • Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray and lotions, which can dull the metal over time.
  • Bring the piece in once a year for professional cleaning, complimentary at our Orchard Central office.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Diamond Necklaces & Pendants

How much does a diamond necklace cost in Singapore?

A diamond necklace in Singapore can range from around $1,500 for a fine solitaire pendant to well into five figures for a statement bridal or heirloom piece. Price is driven by the diamond's cut, colour, clarity, carat and whether the design is from our standing collection or commissioned. Most first-time clients sit between $3,000 and $15,000 SGD.

What's the difference between a diamond necklace and a diamond pendant?

A diamond pendant is the ornament that hangs from a chain. A diamond necklace is the full piece, chain included. In practice, the terms are often used interchangeably: a ‘diamond pendant necklace’ is simply a pendant sold as a complete piece with its chain.

Where can I buy a luxury diamond necklace for women in Singapore?

You can view our range of luxury diamond necklaces for women by appointment at our Orchard Central office, or browse the full collection online. We ship internationally and provide certification on every qualifying piece. To arrange a viewing, please text (+65) 83883777.

What's the most popular diamond necklace style for women?

The most popular style we sell is a solitaire diamond pendant on an 18” chain. It works for everyday wear, layers cleanly with other necklaces, and remains the most versatile design across age and occasion. Halo pendants and station necklaces follow for clients seeking more presence on the collarbone.

What chain length should I choose for a diamond pendant?

The default for most adults is 18”, sitting just below the collarbone. Choose 16” for a higher line on an open neckline, 20” for a longer drop on crew or scoop necks, and 22-24” for layered or statement looks.

Are your diamond necklaces GIA-certified?

Diamonds at or above 0.30 carat are typically certified by GIA or IGI, and we provide the report with the piece. Below the 0.30 carat threshold, GIA does not generally issue reports. For these pieces, we are able to arrange Singapore-based Gemologist certification on request. The fee, usually between $120 to $140, will be borne by the client.

Can I customise a diamond pendant?

Yes. Bespoke pendant design is a service we offer alongside our standing collection. The process starts with a brief covering the occasion, the recipient's style and the budget. From there we propose stones, settings and metals, share visuals and a quote, and only proceed once you've signed off. To start a bespoke conversation, visit our bespoke design page.

Do you offer payment plans for diamond necklaces?

Yes. We offer interest-free payment plans on most pieces. The structure is a non-refundable deposit of 30% to 50% of the piece value, with the balance settled within eight weeks. No fees, no interest, paid by bank wire.

What's your return policy on diamond necklaces purchased online?

Returns are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We recommend a private viewing or video call before any high-value online purchase, so the piece is seen before it's shipped. International shipments are packaged and insured, and we work with each client through any concerns on receipt.

Book a Private Viewing

Some details about a diamond necklace only settle in person, from the way light moves on the stone and the weight of the chain to how the piece sits at the collarbone. A private viewing at our Orchard Central office is the simplest way to close that gap.

Most viewings run 30 to 60 minutes and include time to discuss what you're looking for as well as view comparable pieces side by side. To arrange a viewing, please text (+65) 83883777 or email enquiries@lovelotsdiamond.com for enquiries.
