Singapore's Home for Distinctive Diamond & Coloured Gemstone Rings

The Lovelotsdiamond Difference

Ethically Sourced Diamonds & Gemstones

Every stone in our collection is 100% natural, sourced through suppliers we've worked with directly for years. No synthetics, no treated stones marketed as natural.

GIA & IGI-Certified Diamonds

The diamond rings from our online platform in Singapore come with GIA or IGI certification where the size qualifies. For smaller stones that fall outside the certification thresholds, we can arrange independent verification through a Singapore-based gemologist on request.

Handcrafted in Singapore

Our diamond rings are set and finished here in our shop in Singapore. That means closer oversight on every piece, faster turnaround on adjustments, and the ability to refine a design in-person.

Design Your Own Diamond Ring in Singapore

Whether you're marking an engagement, an anniversary, or simply a moment that deserves to be remembered, our bespoke service is designed to turn what you have in mind into a ring you’ll keep for life.

How Our Bespoke Process Works

  1. Consultation: Bring references, sketches, or simply an idea of the direction you want to take. We’ll talk through your budget and timeline.
  2. Design: From what we discuss, our team develops initial design directions so you can refine the look and feel before moving forward.
  3. Stone Selection: Once the design is locked, we source options for your centre stone and accent stones.
  4. Casting: Your chosen design is cast in your selected metal. This is the stage where the ring takes physical form for the first time.
  5. Setting: Each stone is set by hand by our craftsmen. The piece is then carefully finished and polished to bring everything together.
  6. Delivery: We offer international shipping to selected countries, with shipping fees applied. For destinations outside our list, you can contact us directly for assistance.

Choose Your Centre Stone

The centre stone defines the character of the ring. Diamonds remain the classic choice, while coloured gemstones like sapphire, emerald, ruby, tanzanite and padparadscha offer a more personal expression.

We’ll guide you through the balance of size, colour, clarity and cut, and source stones that align with what matters most to you.

Choose Your Setting

From solitaire and halo to three-stone, bezel or pavé, each setting changes how the ring sits, catches light and wears over time.

We’ll recommend options that suit your stone and how you plan to wear it, then refine the details together until it feels right.

Choose Your Metal

Platinum, 18k white gold, yellow gold and rose gold are all available. Each has its own character over time. Platinum is durable and naturally white, white gold maintains its brightness with occasional re-plating, while yellow and rose gold develop a softer patina with wear.

Diamond Ring Buying Guide

Buying a diamond ring is one of the more meaningful purchases you’ll make. This guide covers the essentials so you can make decisions with clarity, not guesswork.

Understanding the 4Cs of a Diamond

The 4Cs are the universal way diamonds are graded when you buy a diamond ring online or in a jewellery shop in Singapore. These 4Cs are cut, colour, clarity and carat.

Of the four, the cut has the greatest impact on how a diamond actually looks. A well-cut stone reflects light beautifully even at lower grades, while a poorly cut diamond can appear dull regardless of its specifications or price.

Colour is graded from D (colourless) to Z (noticeably tinted). Most diamonds in the D to H range still appear white to the eye in jewellery and are commonly chosen depending on how it affects the price of the diamond ring in Singapore.

Clarity refers to internal inclusions and surface marks, ranging from Flawless to Included. In VS and SI grades, most inclusions are not visible without magnification.

Carat refers to weight, not physical size, and appearance can vary depending on proportions and cut.

Lab-Grown vs Natural Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are chemically identical to natural diamonds. The difference is in the origin. Lab-grown diamonds are created in controlled environments, while natural diamonds form over billions of years deep within the earth.

Lab-grown stones are typically more affordable, often allowing for a larger or higher-graded diamond within the same budget. Natural diamonds, however, are rarer and carry a sense of provenance that many people value for meaningful jewellery.

Lovelotsdiamond works exclusively with 100% natural diamonds and gemstones. For us, origin is part of what gives a piece its long-term significance.

Choosing the Right Ring Setting

The setting does three things. It secures the stone, shapes how it catches light, and defines how the ring feels on the hand.

A solitaire keeps the focus entirely on the centre stone. A halo adds surrounding diamonds for extra brilliance and presence. Three-stone designs bring balance and symbolism.

Pavé bands add continuous sparkle along the shank, while bezel settings offer a more secure, modern profile by encasing the stone in metal.

The right choice depends on both the diamond and the wearer. Some settings feel bold and elevated, others understated and practical. Most fall somewhere in between.

How to Pick the Right Diamond Shape for Your Hand

Different shapes sit differently on the hand, and part of choosing is simply seeing what feels right.

Long fingers can carry almost any shape, including emerald, asscher and cushion cuts. Shorter or wider fingers are often complemented by oval, marquise or pear shapes, which create a lengthening effect.

Smaller hands tend to suit round, oval or pear cuts that feel proportionate. Larger hands can carry more architectural shapes like cushion, radiant or emerald comfortably.

Beyond proportion, shape is also personal. Round feels classic. Oval feels soft and modern. Emerald and asscher feel structured and refined. Pear and marquise feel more distinctive.

Choosing Between White Gold, Yellow Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum

Platinum is the most durable precious metal, naturally white, hypoallergenic, and heavier in feel. It develops a soft patina over time rather than staying highly polished.

18k white gold offers a similar look at a lower price point, but is rhodium-plated to achieve its brightness. This plating gradually wears and can be refreshed over time.

18k yellow gold is the classic warm tone, pairing well with both diamonds and coloured stones. 18k rose gold, alloyed with copper, has a soft pink hue that feels subtle and contemporary. Both yellow and rose gold naturally develop a gentle patina with wear.

There is no better choice here, only what you’ll want to see on your hand every day.

Coloured Gemstones: Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald and Beyond

Sapphires are second only to diamonds in hardness, making them ideal for daily wear. They appear in a wide range of colours, from blue to pink, yellow, teal and the rare padparadscha.

Rubies share the same mineral family and are traditionally associated with love and intensity. Emeralds are softer and more characterful in their inclusions, with a depth of green that remains unmatched.

Beyond the classics, stones like tanzanite, spinel, tourmaline and aquamarine offer more distinctive options for rings that feel less conventional and more personal.

How to Find Your Ring Size

The most accurate method is to have your finger measured in person, ideally later in the day when it is at its natural size. If the ring is a surprise, you can borrow an existing ring and measure its inner diameter.

A few things to keep in mind. Fingers change with temperature, the dominant hand is usually slightly larger, and wider bands fit more snugly than thin ones. When in doubt, sizing slightly up is safer. Complimentary resizing is available on all rings purchased from us.

How Much Should You Spend on an Engagement Ring in Singapore?

The idea that an engagement ring should cost two to three months’ salary is outdated. What matters more is choosing something meaningful that fits comfortably within your life.

In Singapore, well-made diamond rings typically start in the low four figures and scale upward depending on stone size, quality and design complexity, including options for rings with diamonds under $5000. A beautifully cut, certified diamond can be achieved across a wide range of budgets when priorities are clear.

Caring for Your Diamond & Gemstone Ring in Singapore

Daily Wear & Cleaning

Diamonds and harder gemstones like sapphire and ruby can be worn daily without concern, but they naturally collect oils, lotion and soap residue, which can reduce their brilliance over time. A simple weekly clean in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, followed by a gentle brush around the stone and setting, is usually enough to restore their shine.

Softer gemstones require more care. Emeralds, opals, pearls and tanzanites should be kept away from harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners and prolonged water exposure.

As a general rule, it’s best to remove your ring before swimming, showering, exercising or any activity that involves pressure or impact. When not in use, store it in a soft pouch or a separate compartment to prevent scratches from other jewellery.

When to Bring Your Ring in for Servicing

Even with careful wear, settings naturally loosen over time. Prongs can soften with use, and stones may shift slightly without it being immediately visible.

We recommend an annual inspection and professional clean to ensure everything remains secure. During this check, we look at stone stability, early signs of wear on the setting, and restore the polish of the metal where needed.

Resizing, Repolishing & Repair Services

Free resizing is included with every ring purchased from Lovelotsdiamond.

We also offer repolishing, rhodium re-plating for white gold, prong re-tipping, stone tightening and full restoration work.

Frequently Asked Questions About Diamond Ring Purchases Online

How much does a diamond engagement ring cost in Singapore?

Diamond engagement rings vary in price depending on the centre stone, setting and metal choice. In jewellery shops in Singapore, well-crafted rings with certified diamonds typically start in the low four figures and increase with size and complexity.

Are your diamonds GIA-certified?

One of the best reasons to buy your diamond ring online from us comes from the fact that most diamonds in our collection come with GIA or IGI grading reports where size allows.

Smaller stones may fall below certification thresholds set by GIA. For these, we can arrange independent verification through a Singapore-based gemologist on request, charged at cost.

Do you sell lab-grown diamond rings?

We work exclusively with 100% natural diamonds and gemstones for our diamond rings and diamond necklaces. Lab-grown diamonds are visually identical and offer strong value, but for pieces intended to be kept or passed down, we choose to focus on natural origin and provenance.

How long does a custom-made ring take?

Bespoke rings typically take 6 to 8 weeks from final design confirmation, depending on stone availability and design complexity. We’ll share a clearer timeline once your design is confirmed and keep you updated throughout the process.

Do you offer ring resizing?

Yes. Every diamond ring purchased in SG from Lovelotsdiamond includes complimentary resizing. You can bring your ring back to our showroom anytime and we’ll adjust it at no additional cost.

What is your return and exchange policy?

All sales are final, so we encourage customers to review their piece carefully before purchase, either in person or through detailed imagery. Each item is guaranteed authentic. In the rare event a piece is independently verified as non-genuine by two qualified professionals within 14 days of receipt, we will issue a full refund.

Do you offer payment plans or instalments?

Yes, selected pieces can be paid in instalments over 8 weeks with no interest or additional fees. A deposit of 30% to 50% confirms your order, with the balance paid in instalments or as a final payment.

How do I find my ring size?

The most accurate method is in-person sizing at our showroom, ideally later in the day when fingers are at their natural size. If it’s a surprise, we can size a ring you already own or send a complimentary ring sizer upon request.

Can I see the rings in person before buying?

Yes. Viewings are by private appointment at our Orchard Central showroom. Let us know which pieces you’re interested in and we’ll prepare them for you. You can book via WhatsApp at (+65) 8388 3777 or email enquiries@lovelotsdiamond.com.

What’s the difference between a sapphire and a tanzanite ring?

Sapphires and tanzanites can both appear blue, but they differ significantly in durability and tone. Sapphire is extremely hard and ideal for daily wear, while tanzanite is softer and better suited to occasional use.

Sapphires also come in a wide range of colours, whereas tanzanite is known for its distinctive violet-blue with purple undertones.

Is your jewellery shipped insured within Singapore?

Yes. All local deliveries are fully insured and tracked from dispatch to delivery. Shipping within Singapore is complimentary.
